reflection on essay 1

-Diigo was something that I was new too but it was very beneficial in the sense that it allowed me to basically annotate any article or even PDFs and it's easy to just bookmark assignments. Diigo was just very convenient. -Managing time is something I have always had trouble with. Many times I have to either wake up early or stay up late just finishing assignments. - Doing an essay on a topic that is very relatable was pretty easy in the sense that I was able to add relatable personal experiences - My past experiences with peer revision hasn't always been very helpful because sometimes people aren't really giving me useful advice since they are just giving me advice for the assignments however since this time it was a one on one I think it was a good thing because I received good comments and suggestions that really helped me understand what it was I needed to work on. - I learned that I really need to manage my time better

Hernando de Soto Polar is a Peruvian economist who is known for his work on the importance of business. He aruges that, "for Americans enjoying both peace and prosperity, it has been to easy to ignore the turmoil elsewhere." (5). This quote has a lot of truth to because American's, tend to not get involved in any problems until it is extremely necessarily which it shouldn't always be like that.  Hernando de Soto travels to study the capitals and economy in other countries. He states, " The past is many nations' present.” (20.) What I understood from this quote was that some countries are more further developed than others so since they were more  advanced they were more ahead and had a "head start" on many thing as compared to many other countries.

Q/D #7

" We live in an age when going to the library means turning on our laptops and making sure that we have a wireless connection." The way is see the meaning to  this quote is that its basically saying that theres people who don't actually go to the library however, when they do they go to just waste time. People nowadays will only go to places that have wifi because its more convenient. Which to me I can personally relate to is because I'm one of those people who don't go to the library and I do, I don't know how to act. I'll eventually do my work but it will take me a minute or two to actually get focused. The reason to that is because people nowadays are so focus on social media that sometime people tend to slack of with there studies and tend to waste time on there laptops but as long as they have wireless connection they will be satisfied.
Quote #6 "But is the imagination really powerful enough or trustworthy enough to approximate the experience of walking a mile in another person's shoe" (pg.87.) I believe imagination is a very powerful thing that either harm or benefit people. The reason to why I say this is because when someone imagines something they are basically envisioning themselves doing what someone else is doing which could be them doing something good. However, the reason why that could be a problem would be because that could also lead someone to do whatever they need to, to be able to have the same things another person may have.
